THETA Corporation (Head Office: Nakano Ward, Tokyo; President Masahiko Suzuki; hereinafter THETA) and iid, Inc. (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Hiroshi Miyakawa; hereinafter, "iid") hereby announce their joint development of a media business and promotion planning for VR videos and joint R&D of high-quality VR video production.

iid operates 48 media in 20 genres and provides marketing services and content support to a diverse clientele. It is a content marketing company with much expertise in media platform management.

As the first joint project with content marketing expert iid, THETA has started a service called EINYME (https://einy.me/) on July 15th, 2016. It is a jointly-developed, high-quality VR video delivery platform optimized for live-action idol videos.

EINYME is a platform for delivering live-action VR content optimized for idol videos. It delivers videos where the viewer can almost touch the pop idol in the VR space, making it very exciting.

After registering as a member for free and downloading the content with a personal computer, the member can view the video with Oculus Rift or Gear VR. Some videos can currently be viewed for free.

The videos currently available provide a new experience where the pop idol seem to be right in front of you. And by using headphones, the member can also enjoy 3D audio.

Joint VR Content Marketing Projects and Upcoming Plans

2016 is called the first year of the "VR Era." Sales of VR devices such as Oculus Rift*1 and PlayStation VR*2 have taken off. Goldman Sachs*3 predicts that the VR software market will expand to US$35 billion by 2025.

Starting this joint project with well-positioned content marketing expert iid, THETA aims to be number one in live-action VR video production and the distribution platform.
